FOUNDER & Business Development Manager

This is Richard, aka. ‘the Tuck shop guy’.

Rich is the brains behind the whole operation. He founded Camp Epic back in 2012, Initially as a Holiday Soccer School, as he has always had a passion for sports (particularly football) & is basically a big kid masquerading as a grown-up!

He soon noticed some kids were coming to the Soccer School that didn’t really enjoy football (mainly the siblings of the football fans), but the parents needed to send them to a holiday camp whilst they worked, so he knew he had to do something about that…

He began introducing things like Lego, colouring & so on… & before long, there were all sorts of different activities available to the kiddies- something for everyone!

& so, Camp Epic as we now know it, was born!

To begin with it was just Holiday clubs, but as demand grew, he decided to add on ‘Camp Epic Lates’, (our afterschool clubs) & these too have been a big hit. His most recent brainwave saw the introduction of our new ‘Collectable Camp Epic playing Cards game’.

In his Free time, Rich coaches his kids football team ( & still plays occasionally too), is partial to a good Country Music Festival & absolutely LOVES a good spreadsheet! His sense of humour is dryer than the whole of the UK has been this summer (2026) & he finds great joy in playing ‘bad cop’- you’ve been warned! (He’s a big softy really).

Rich currently runs Camp Epic, Street Pools, ProSports Solutions & the CSC Gymnasium simultaneously, so he’s a pretty busy guy. That’s where Curt & Emma come in…

This is Curt, aka ‘the Fixer’.

Curt is Operations Manager & oversees the whole company & all it’s pillars, from Managing our ProSports Coaches & Gymnasts, to assisting with ‘Street Pools’ Hires & our Camp Epic offerings.

He sorts all things ‘staff’ related across the business; from recruitment & staff training, to rosters & performance management. He assists Richard with anything & everything (literally), to help keep things running smoothly, acts as a ‘shoulder to cry on’ or a ‘vent post’ to all the staff when needed, fixes problems & liaises with all clients, parents & schools as required.

Basically, there’s not much Curt doesn’t do or can’t do (except maybe, grow hair on his head)… (LOL).

He’s a great leader, comes up with the best team games during staff training sessions & is always up for a good laugh, so the whole Epic Squad loves him; he is the ‘go-to-guy’ in the office.

Curt loves his job & the team so spends a LARGE amount of time working (or writing excellent emails & dishing-out ‘top-notch’ banter to the staff), BUT; in the little ‘free time’ he does have, he enjoys spending time with his family & holidaying in Florida.

He loves football too, but admits Manchester United ruin his weekend most weeks!

This is Emma, ‘Chatterbox’ extraordinaire.

Emma is living her best life at Camp Epic a Programme Delivery Manager. That’s basically a fancy title for ‘Camp Epic Area Manager’ really, as she covers all our Camp Epic sites & all Camp Epic staff report to her as their first point of contact. She is crafty & artsy with a dash of OCD, a splash of silly & a BIG dollop of EPIC (but don’t ask her to do sports… she will most likely injure herself).

As a mum herself, she loves working with kids & coming up with new ideas to make our Camps the best they can be; from overseeing / auditing all of our Camp Epic sites to ensure quality & consistency across the brand & assisting with staff training at site level, to assisting with the planning of holiday Camps, Afterschool club programmes & Events.

Emma now does all the Marketing for Camp Epic & manages of Social Pages too (so give us a follow on FB & IG!)

She spins many plates here at Camp Epic & ultimately wants only the best for the kids & parents that book with us, so she works with the schools to build great working relationships & supports the teams in any way she can to ensure they can all deliver an EPIC experience for every child.

She has no ‘free time’ these days as she has a one year-old, but she loves all things country, online shopping, voice-noting & attempting to make plans with her girlfriends that usually never happen or just end up becoming ‘play dates’.
